including book lists and other specific requirements
The department has a
collection of instructional videos
which may be checked out by faculty, staff, and teaching assistants or graduate assistants
The Office of Extended Programs holds digital rights to
a number of videos that are pertinent to
courses in history. There is a
narrative description of the videos and also a
database listing of
the videos.. You may have any of these videos added to your courses in eCourseware by sending
an e-mail message to Shelia Owens, Coordinator of Extended Programs, at sowens@memphis.edu.
The Tennessee Board of Regents has rights to
streaming videos from Films Media Group. If you wish to use

The Department publishes a newsletter
several times each year, and it is placed online in both HTML and PDF versions
The departmental blog,
Memphis historians on the go, features news and photographs from those who are
travelling for research or pleasure

maintain personal Web pages, not all of which are officially linked through the
