There are some magnificent collections of resources for history already available on the Web (the indexes, guides, lists, and links listed below, for example), so this page will not attempt to be exhaustive.
Full-text back issues of many scholarly historical journals (and those in many other scholarly disciplines as well) are available through JSTOR, which is licensed by the McWherter Library for use by students, faculty, and staff at The University of Memphis. JSTOR's agreement with the journals generally allows the service to provide full-text articles except for the five most recent years. (As noted above, some organizations like the American Historical Association and the Organization of American Historians are beginning to make the most recent year or so of their journals available online through the History Cooperative.)
